#1045 Cannot log in to the MySQL server

Hi there,

I use Firefox on my Mac and suddenly I cannot log into my phpMyAdmin account. It says: #1045 Cannot log in to the MySQL server when I try.

Any ideas?

Thank you,
Margaret

This I'm pretty sure is an intermittent error related to browser cookies and sessions. Try a different browser, or wait a while and it should be fixed in the same browser.

Also, I'm moving this topic to the "Product database" subforum since it has to do with phpMyAdmin.

Still can't log-in using Firefox, but I was able to using Safari. The funny thing though is that I only started using Firefox (a while back) because the phpMyAdmin site had stopped working with Safari.

Anyhoo, thank you for the suggestion :)

Yes, that Safari phpMyAdmin bug was in an earlier version. phpMyAdmin should work in all browsers now. For Firefox, you can try clearing your cookies for foodclub.org, and then try again.

Just wanted to follow up on this, that another user reported this "#1045 cannot log in..." error, and it was known to be a username/password issue. i.e. they were using a wrong (nonexistent) phpmyadmin username.

So this #1045 error may always be caused by wrong username or password.
