Database help when adding new sources

Postby DCOGG (deleted) » Thu Jan 09, 2014 10:29 am

Hello, We are a new club struggling with figuring out how to add our own vendors (those not on the shared list). Even with this discussion i am still confused how to create my own database for the vendor (or source) using mysql and then make it available to the club?

Are there step by step instructions somewhere?

We have a number of vendors that we would like to create databases for but have not been able to figure it out yet.

Any help is appreciated!

Thank you!

It should be noted that maintaining your own database is the most difficult thing to do in Foodclub. Here are the documentation resources on it:

http://foodclub.org/wiki/Foodclub:Docum ... _QUESTIONS
http://foodclub.org/wiki/Foodclub:Docum ... phpMyAdmin

and there is a subforum of this Support forum which has a lot of the common errors people encounter as they try to import a CSV file:

Thank you - I do already have these instructions.....and I am still struggling even with these instructions...

The main reason being that phpMyAdmin does not have the same look as what is described in these help documents....

for example I do not have the option to choose foodclub (1) from the left column.

Anyway - any extra help from someone who has gone through this already is appreciated!

In the mean time, I will read through the links again and see if I can figure it out.

Thank you!

Ah, yes- the step-by-step was written for an older version of phpMyAdmin. I just updated it for the current version, so check it again:
