Followup on this: note that for the Separate by item checkbox to show up, ALL quantities of the item must be entered on Order pages (whole/case orders). If even ONE quantity was entered via the Splits page, then the Separate by item checkbox will not be available for that item, even if all the rest of the quantities were whole/case orders.
So if a Separate by item checkbox is inexplicably not showing up for an item, you should check Group order to see if someone entered one item on Splits. If so, simply delete that split and move the item onto the user's Order page, and then the Separate by item checkbox will appear on Invoice processing.
