It would be great if the system could be setup (optionally) to email all members a reminder that an order will be closing. So the options would be:

Turn on Order Close notification: yes/no
Order Close notification time: ____ hours
Order Close notification recipient: All members/Only Members with orders
Notification Text: _______________________________________________________________

The last option would take into consideration if the order is locked to a village, and only email members who are in that village.

Does this makes sense? We are just finding that many members forget that an order is closing and don't get their order in. Many order coordinators forget to email the group too. It would be nice if the system just did it for them.

Sounds like a good feature request. Can't remember if anyone has requested this before - if so, I didn't have it on the near-term to-do list.

It will go on the to-do list, but if other clubs vote for this as well (reply in this topic) it will get bumped up in priority and get done sooner.

This would be a fabulous feature because currently we are managing 15-16 vendors and doing this manually.

Good timing- been working on it, and it is now available. Will announce details in the new Recent changes forum, but basically it has all the functionality you requested, and you can enable it on Source Notifications page.

It's up at the top of the forums: Recent software changes. But I haven't posted anything to it yet.

I'm going to go through the last year or so of features and post them all there, with rough dates the features were installed. I'd suggest anyone interested in keeping track just subscribe to the forum, and then you'll get an e-mail when any new topics are posted.

I tried this feature on the last order cycle, and it does not appear to work. I clicked the "Enable automatic e-mail to users a set amount of time before order closes" box, set it to e-mail 40 hours before the order closes and to send to all users, crafted a custom message, but nobody that I talked to (including my own account) received an e-mail. Did I do something wrong?

Also, as a feature enhancement request, it would be nice to be able to set up multiple automatic e-mails, say if you wanted to have one at the start of ordering, and one near the end.
