Help - Vendor Database w/No Categories (Global Organics)

Postby andrewd » Mon Nov 23, 2015 11:13 pm

Global Organics does not assign categories to their products, which means they do not populate (except under "show all" option) on Order. Is there some kind of magical fix to this where key words can be pulled from the item description and be used to auto-categorize the product based on those key words? Anyone ordering from Global Organics that is already implementing something like this?

We are a weekly club, so we're hoping there's an easy fix that can be utilized...something we won't have to labor intensively over each week when we import updated lists. Thanks guys!

Auto-categorization of Global Organics items was added in the official Global database in Foodclub. So the answer for your purposes is to use the official db, and if you need to make changes or add/merge in other items, then copy it to private and make changes there.

You mean a private database based on an official db? No- you will have to do the copy again, then make any changes you do afterwards.
