Member fees

Postby JohnMarshall » Sat Aug 13, 2022 5:02 pm

We are applying a surcharge to items during invoice processing. We thought the amount added would show up under member fees - but that is not the case. Is this correct or are "member fees" something else. If not, is there a way to show the amount added - that is the difference between the ordered and actual price?

If you mean this feature on Invoice processing:
Apply a discount or surcharge to Actual price

then no, all that does is apply real-time changes to the Actual price column. The change itself is not recorded anywhere. If you don't save after applying it, then the change is lost, since all it does is alter those values in the Actual price column.

Member fees is an entirely different feature. Those are calculated from each user's member fee set on User maintenance.

Member fees are also added if you go to invoices (by source, so not combined invoice) then you have the options to add a fixed fee or a percentage to all users, you can also do this on each members invoice, then these will show up in the separated fees amt. note: they are all combined for each archived date, so if you do multiple sources/invoices at the same time/day, they will show as one total in the combined invoice summary... I use the invoice summary to show the split amt per source/member, and they are called "custom fees" on this report.
Hope this helps!
