Hi Just wondering if there is a way we can do the following with our Villages:
* For each village we have a coordinator (we have three Villages at present - one central location and two other separate locations)
* All members from all the villages order individually on the same source order, and the Village coordinator comes to pick up the Villages' produce as a whole (not individually boxed) to take to their respective village.
* We give a discount to the village coordinators as a percentage of the order total for all orders coming from their village, as the coordinators have to box up individual orders from the pool of produce allocated to their Village, and allow the Village members to come and pick it up.
* We don't give the Village coordinators admin access, since most of that is non of their concern and we don't want each Village coordinator to have admin access to the entire order and system details.
So a couple of things:
(1) As far as I can tell, if we are to manage the discount we give to the Village coordinator, we would need to maintain a separate excel spreadsheet that we update manually, to sum the individual member order totals for the given Village to be able to calculate the overall percentage discount as a dollar value to give to the Village coordinator.
(2) The Village coordinator not being an admin, can't see any of the order/invoice details of the people in their Village (except by an admin manually copying and pasting the relevant members' invoices/orders into an email and sending it to the village coordinator. So, in that sense, to spread the load, the Village coordinators can't actually see the order for, nor help anyone in their Village unless they are a full admin user, which is not feasible with the way our club works.
Q1: Are there any quick and easy things that either I'm missing, or are easy to implement, that might help solve any of the above issues?
Q2: Can there be a 'village coordinator' role, whereby:
(a) Village coordinator can see the users and their orders and invoices that are in their Village only and act like an admin for their subset of users and orders for their village
(b) Invoices and sorting sheets and orders etc etc can be filtered by Village as a first sort criteria (so far, i've only really seen a secondary sort by Village for some areas of the invoicing and final order tables, which is definitely a good thing still, just that it would be nice to be able to sort or group by Village so that we could see at a glance all the details for a given village)
(c) Can't remember what i was going to write for (c) but i think you get the idea for what I am talking about with Villages.
