Some vendors price their items by eaches. However, they then tack on an additional shipping charge that is variable by weight.
Specifically I am talking about Bob's Red Mill. Their add on cost can be as much as 50% of the item cost.
So while we can tack on that cost at the end during Invoice Processing, most users want to know about this fee when they add they item to their cart and NOT be surprised at the end.
So I *think* we need a Source Setting that allows the Source Admin to assign a sliding shipping fee scale by weight of item that gets applied to the Price List.
Something like:
Select UOM: <drop down with lbs, ozs, etc>
Select Min Weight: <blank numeric field>
Select Max Weight: <bank numeric field>
Select Shipping fee: <blank numeric field>
|Add fee|
You could add multiple fees to your source per weight range.
This fee would then be added to each user's order line
The fee should be able to be adjusted per line during Invoice Processing.
BIG enhancement I know. But without it I just don't know how we could ever do Bob's or other vendors who charge shipping per item weight like this.
