Feature request-prorate shipping cost based on weight

Postby szimmermann123 » Fri Jun 13, 2014 1:33 pm

I'm just wondering if other clubs could use this feature? If so, Adi might bump it up on his priority list.

It would be nice on invoice processing to enter the total shipping cost, and Adi's software would pro-rate it to each user based on the weights of users respective orders. This feature is almost there... I can do the following.

Under SOURCE SETTINGS, I can select "Enable invoice fees based on shipping weight: allows you to enter the gross dry and chill shipping weight of each item, and the overall dry and chill shipping rates, and uses these to auto-calculate each member's shipping charge."

Then in the database I enter the item weights under CASE_WEIGHT

Than I have to manually compute the price/weight and I'm good to go.

What I want is for Adi to automatically sum the weights that appear and for ther user to enter the dollar amount shipping cost. Then Adi autumatically computers the price/weight and continues on in his software.

Also, sometimes we want to prorate a fixed fee based on a fixed dollar amount (e.g. a transportation fee to pay someone's gas), Perhaps Adi could add another box.

"Enable invoice fees based on dollar amount spent by user", then we would enter what the fee is. Then Adi would total all user's dollar amounts, and prorate the fee.

I know it's a simple thing for us to compute, but we have many source coordinators and it is too error prone if it is not automatically done.

Thanks,
Sally
