Why can't I post to this forum? (enabling phpBB integration)

Postby support » Sat May 19, 2012 10:59 am

Only registered Foodclub users can post here. Your club also must have enabled phpBB integration on the bottom of the Global settings page. Contact the administrator(s) of your club, since only they can change Global settings.

Once your club has phpBB integration enabled, you get automatically logged in to the phpBB forums on login to Foodclub. You should never have to directly log in to phpBB, unless you are not currently logged in to Foodclub.

Note that you cannot register a new user on phpBB since user registration has been disabled. The only way to get a phpBB user login is through your Foodclub account.

Any registered user (from any club) can post to this "General support" forum. Even non-registered, anonymous users who may find the forums via an internet search can read this forum (they just can't post).

But only users from your club can see and post to your own club's forum under the "Foodclub accounts" category:

viewforum.php?f=3

(that's why you can only see your own club's forum and not anyone else's)

Also note that if you have enabled phpBB integration, and still are not logged in to phpBB (no search field next to "newtopic" button, and no user name in the upper right), it probably means you just need to log out and back in to Foodclub.

Since you only get logged into phpBB on login to Foodclub, if you enable phpBB integration you need to logout and back in once to get your phpBB autologin.

Also, there is an up to 1 hour delay after enabling phpBB integration and users being synced from Foodclub over to phpBB.
